We see the best way to start a change in the community is through supporting and empowering children. We believe that they can be the real conduits of change in the community.
We recognize the opportunity we have if we start with children first. Not only do we have the best access to children through school, but these children are also the community leaders of the future. If we get our work right with them, our vision will become a reality.
Our Mission
To ensure rural children leave education with options, by developing the skills, values and pathways to thrive.
Build Skills
We need to give children the skills they need to succeed. For the most impact, our work must be to solve the foundational issues and barriers that a child faces in gaining skills. We know there are some key skills that act as the foundation for others to build upon, hence why we focus on these as a scalable and sustainable way to make impact.
Embed Values
We need to instill in children the values they need to thrive but also empower them to believe that they can be a change-maker in their own lives, in the community and in the world. We will be creating real problem solvers, full of confidence, who know their rights, respect one and other and are set up to thrive.
Create Pathways
Finally, we need to ensure that there is a pathway and direction for every child. Our work doesn’t stop at the school gates, we want every child to finish school feeling that they have been empowered to make a choice for their own life, have the skills to achieve it and a clear tangible path to get there. Our job will be to help them define their goal, map out the steps and provide assistance along the way.
