Dr. Sarah J. Converse is an Associate Professor at the University of Washington, with a research program in wildlife ecology and conservation. She has a Ph.D. in wildlife biology from Colorado State University. The benefits of a public education produced in Sarah a belief in the power of education, and in society’s responsibility for educating children. She has a strong professional interest in understanding how organizations develop plans and make decisions to most effectively reach their goals and is committed to bringing this knowledge to Kenya Connect. Sarah enjoys hiking, birding, cooking, baking, and travel in her free time. She lives in Seattle Washington with her husband, Matthew Bowman – also a Kenya Connect Board Member – and their two cute but mischievous cats.
