Coordinator of Monitoring and Evaluation and Special Programs
Margaret graduated from Scott Christian University in 2017 with a degree in agri-business and began interning with Kenya Connect in 2019. Margaret was hired in 2021. Along with her role as the Coordinator of Monitoring and Evaluation, she is coordinating the Wings Poa Reusable Sanitary Pad program and assists with Level UP Village and LitClub programs.
“Seeing the smiles, the excitement and the happiness among young girls in schools after being educated on menstrual sanitary hygiene and being issued with the Wings Poa reusable sanitary pads brings a lot of joy and encouragement to me. Knowing that I am making great impact to the lives of these girls is an achievement to me because I am sure they won’t miss classes due to lack of sanitary pads during their periods. I also enjoy engaging community local women in making the Wings Poa kits. Knowing we are creating job opportunities for the women is a special moment since it means the women will be able to provide food, shelter and pay school fees for their children.”
