Introduction

Rev up your engines for the 2nd Annual RRR scheduled for Friday, June 18, 2027! A leading NGO in the Mwala sub-county, Kenya Connect is building a culture of reading through our innovative and multi-layered program of bringing the joy, wonder and knowledge of books to students, teachers and parents at 94 partner government schools. Our literacy programs are creating a community of “Readers and Leaders.” We are inviting corporations, businesses, foundations, and civil society leaders to join us in catalyzing change through giving children in under-resourced schools the literacy tools and foundation they need to be successful contributors to their communities and country. This is a wonderful way to promote and nurture Corporate Social Responsibility while having fun, making an impact, and vitalizing reading!

Here’s how YOU can be a Reading Road Rally Champion!

Create a Team of 3-6 people and organize travel to Wamunyu (2 hours on the Machakos-Kitui Road from Nairobi)
Become a Platinum, Gold, Silver, or Bronze sponsor contributing 75,000-672,000 Ksh

Take a Look at the Action-Packed Day!

Meet at the Kenya Connect Campus at 9:30 am for a warm welcome and morning Tea/Coffee
Each Team will meet a Kenya Connect Library Team member who will escort you to one of our partner schools
At the School, your team will conduct a Read Aloud Story and talk to the children about the importance of reading
A LitFest Fun craft and game activity will be planned for you to engage with the learners
Return to Kenya Connect for a tour of the Library Learning Center and the Learning Resource Center and hear from our dynamic team about our powerful work
LUNCH and a presentation of Gifts
Depart for Nairobi filled with gratitude and joy!
