Partners Highlight Kenya Connect!

Our work is made stronger and more effective through thoughtful partnerships.  Kenya Connect has been partnering with LevelUp Village since 2015.  Since then, hundreds of students have engaged in STEM learning with LUV’s creative approach.  Global Scientists, Global Storybook Engineers and Global Conversations are some of the classes held in Wamunyu.  Not only do our students participate in hands-on learning and experimenting, they send video letters to a partner in the U.S.  Our most recent project was a social studies and environmental change with students in New York State.  You can read about it in a blog by LUV HERE.

Our newest partner, The Commonwealth Education Trust, is providing “bite-sized” courses for teachers designed to help them create an engaged and student-centered classroom.  Accessing the content on a smart phone or laptop, the teachers are becoming digital learners to improve their classroom teaching.  Kenya Connect was recently highlighted in one of their newsletters.

These partnerships are bringing 21st century teaching and learning to students and teachers at our partner schools.  We look forward to expanding these offerings in the years to come!
