Seeing the tangible outcomes of Kenya Connect work, such as students achieving their educational goals and making a real difference in people’s lives deeply rewards me. Our Library holds more than just books – It is a haven for imagination, learning and dreams. Among the many patrons, Faith is a testament to determination and persistence.
Faith is a young girl who has been in a wheelchair for as long as anyone can remember. Her mobility challenges never stopped her spirit of coming to check out books everytime we went to Nunga Ps for library days.
Faith says that before she joined our library she had always struggled with reading, writing and speaking skills. However, her journey took a positive turn when she joined our library. Engaged with a diverse selection of books, she transformed her difficulties into strengths, showcasing a great improvement in not only her languages but also in the other subjects.
Faith scored excellent grades in her primary school exams and She has joined a good secondary school, Joy town Secondary School for the Physically handicapped, where she is pursuing her dream of becoming a Neurosurgeon.
