About this program
Imagine being a child in rural Kenya with no access to computers at home and wanting to learn how to use a computer, code and build a robot? During school breaks, Kenya Connect offers “boot camps” to children so they can learn coding, computing and robotics. On any given day, there are over 50 students participating in the program. They use lego to build cars and robots and then they code them to do tasks.

“I have learned a lot from this week’s bootcamp. I now know how to type, code and use spreadsheets. I feel empowered!”
Mwende from Kilaatu PS
