About this program

Often when you ask a Kenyan child about what they would like to do after school they say, “a pilot, journalist, accountant or engineer” with little understanding of what the career entails and how to get there. In 2025, we are launching a mentor series to bring Kenyans to share about their work and career paths with secondary school students. Our goal is to open students’ minds to careers they have never heard of, to provide guidance on pathways to these careers, and to inspire them to pursue their dreams.

“The mentor series is important because students in rural Kenya find it challenging to understand their career options. Many of them are not aware of the opportunities available to them and how to pursue them. With the career mentor series, they can get the guidance, knowledge, and exposure they need to explore and know their pathways.”
