About this program

Do you remember when you first went on a school field trip? Students in Wamunyu rarely leave the village. As a result, we have been expanding students horizons by bringing them to learn about beekeeping at Muthoki Country Lodge, the hospitality industry at Marriot and Radix hotels, and the National History Museum. In addition, remote school students visit Kenya Connect for a field trip. For most of the students, it’s the first time they have seen a library or climbed the stairs of a two story building.

“Visiting a five-star hotel has changed my life. I didn’t know people could be so happy at work. Prior to visiting JW Marriott Nairobi today, I did not know there were such cool jobs in the Hospitality Industry. I feel like my options are now endless. This trip changed everything.”
