Kenya Connect, in partnership with GAP and Lions SightFirst Eye Hospital, conducted a comprehensive eye screening and general health check-up at the Kenya Connect campus. A total of 124 individuals were screened for various eye conditions including 14 children.

Participants had access to affordable reading glasses and essential medication. In addition to eye care, the event included blood pressure, diabetes testing and weighing, allowing for a broader assessment of each participant’s overall health.

GAP will manage follow-up on all medical referrals, including those requiring surgical intervention such as cataract surgery. This initiative not only addressed immediate health needs but also promoted awareness on the importance of regular medical check-ups.

These types of programs serves the broader community, especially those with limited access to healthcare, including parents, grandparents and children.
