This week was the first time for most students to This week was the first time for most students to see and use an abacus. They were excited to use it and little did they know they would get to make one of their own and learn how to use it! With guidance, they reused old cartons, styrofoam, wooden sticks and beads to create an abacus. "If you build it, will they come?" When the Learni "If you build it, will they come?" When the Learning Resource Center computer lab was built in 2012, we had 20 computers. It was amazing. Fast forward.... it is thrilling to see 80 children coming for a school break computer boot camp with that same lab jam packed with engaged digital learners. The children are coming, learning, and preparing for the future.
