This is such a cool lesson on how electricity work This is such a cool lesson on how electricity works! 56 students at our computer bootcamp learned about electricity through using a string to help them visualize the flow of electricity. One student acted as the bulb that lights when electricity flows through the rope. A battery which is the source of power pulls the string. Other students just supported the string. To avoid too much flow of electricity a resistor slowed the speed of the string and then a switch was added when the string is cut to stop the flow of the electricity. This fun hands-on learning helps kids internalize the content.
Kevin from @team4tech shared, "To be honest, I feel like I’ve just gone back to a physics class in high school and I’m glad grade 5 students get to experience this at such an early age. Coupled up with coding, they create such amazing concepts that could be used to change their lives." @team4tech @raspberrypifoundation @globalgiving @usembassynairobi @diar_awards
