It's Menstrual Hygiene Day! Helping girls to stay It's Menstrual Hygiene Day! Helping girls to stay in school during their menstrual cycle is important. Our staff created Wings Poa Reusable Sanitary Pad kits which are made by local women. It's a new Kenyan School year and Mentor Jackie is It's a new Kenyan School year and Mentor Jackie is back with the Girl/Boy Empowerment program. Each session begins with a "Read Aloud" story to engage the students before delving into the lesson. Students love the stories and it helps inspire them to read.
Donations to our Mother's Day Campaign will help us build this program.

Last week was international compost awareness week Last week was international compost awareness week and students in Wamunyu discussed the value of compost! The students learned about the process of composting and then drew pictures of the layers and how decomposition works. They also used compost from our @givelove_org toilets on Moringa trees at Maanzoni PS. We're keeping "poop in the loop" and students are learning!
