Theresia came into Kenya Connect in 2009 as a board member. She has a passion for helping needy children to pursue education. Her passion developed from her childhood experience growing up in great poverty. She almost dropped out of secondary school while in form two due to lack of school fees. Thanks to a German volunteer who offered to pay her school fees in form three and form four. In turn Theresia worked at the school during school breaks as a assistant librarian as well as doing other menial jobs at the school. As the saying goes, it is only the wearer who knows where the shoe pinches, and from that early childhood experience, Theresia developed a passion to help children in difficult circumstances to gain access to education. She has supported a number of students to go through school. She is trained nurse by profession and works at Makueni County Referral Hospital. In her spare time, she likes listening to music, reading, traveling, and making new friends.
